"The Entrepreneurial Teacher"
Dear Fellow Educator,
Motivate your students! Create your own Micro Community!
Let kids participate in real world experiences that will open new
avenues of interest and connections to core state standards.
EduPreneurship Student Center, ESC, chartered in1995,
has three kindergarten through eighth grade learning communities,
each with less than 100 students. Our goal is to create thoughtful,
caring, literate, problem-solving learners with an entrepreneurial
spirit. We teach in multi-age cottages with a theme-based approach.
The focus of our charter is economic thinking and business skills.
Since 2001, ESC has shared its special focus with
other schools through a PCSP federal grant project called “It’s
My Business”. The presentations from our two most popular
workshops, The
Entrepreneurial Student and The
Entrepreneurial Teacher, are now available in PDF format for
educators who were unable to attend the workshops and are interested
in learning more about ESC’s “It’s My Business”
approach to teaching business and economics to the elementary student.
If you have questions or comments about the presentations,
please feel free to join the “It’s My Business”
forum at www.chartercentral.org/discus.
